Terahertz-Based Measurement Systems in Electrode Manufacturing

Itronic GmbH is a small technology and engineering company focused on measurement, testing, and automation technology for industrial applications. For eight years, the company has been developing non-destructive, terahertz-based measurement systems. In electrode manufacturing, these systems enable contactless coating thickness measurement with micrometer precision at high measurement speeds — while simultaneously delivering material analysis and defect detection deep within the material. The resulting measurement data accelerates process and material development: shorter ramp-up times, optimized processes, and a noticeably reduced scrap rate in series production.

The Battery Passport Is a Data Problem, Not a QR Code

From 18 February 2027, EV, light-transport and industrial batteries above 2 kWh sold in the EU must carry a Battery Passport. The QR code is the easy part — the hard part is the data behind it, which today sits scattered across supplier declarations, bills of materials, certificates, test reports, ERP and PLM systems. This pitch shows where that data actually lives, which gaps turn up most often in battery portfolios, and what teams can do now rather than in early 2027.
